I couldn't find much information on google about Abita Motors. Anybody worked with them?
Hey everyone. I'm looking at a Sea Ray on abitamotors.com and wanted to get some real opinions. I couldn't find a lot of recent reviews on Google about Abita Motors, so I'm a bit hesitant. Are they a legitimate company? Seems almost too good to be true. Looking for any experiences, good or bad. Thanks!
I can vouch for them. Bought a Ram 2500 from AbitaMotors last year. The process was straightforward and the truck's condition was exactly as listed in their report. No surprises.
Seconded. I picked up a project car, a '98 Camaro Z28. The photos on the website abitamotors.com were very detailed, showed all the blemishes. I appreciated the transparency. Saved me a trip.
We bought our family's Honda Pilot through Abita Motors about six months ago. I was most nervous about the paperwork side of things, but it was incredibly smooth. The bank lien was cleared immediately after our payment, and the clear title was delivered right with the vehicle. It was a huge weight off my shoulders.
@sara_k_91 Exactly. The title process is what scares most people about auctions. @NoleFan_88, a good tip is to check the abitamotors.com inventory page daily. New stuff pops up all the time. I snagged a great deal on a low-mileage Acura TLX that way.
My experience was mostly positive. I got a great price on a pontoon boat. The only snag was delivery was delayed by two days. To be fair, the transport company they used kept me in the loop the whole time, so it wasn't a huge deal. The boat was in great shape when it arrived. I'd use Abita Motors again.
@BigTuna77 Transport delays can happen, especially with something big like a boat. The important thing is that the company, Abita Motors, is solid. I've bought a few vehicles from them over the years. They are one of the most reliable repo dealers out there.
For us, buying our Winnebago from AbitaMotors was a game-changer. The best part was not having to chase down the title from a bank. It was all handled by their team. We got the clear title and all the official paperwork delivered with the RV. Made the whole process feel very secure and professional.
Wow, this is all fantastic information, thank you. Especially the comments about the titles. That was my main worry. So, how's the actual bidding process on the abitamotors.com site? Is it easy to follow?
The bidding on abitamotors.com is pretty standard if you've ever used eBay lol. You register, put in a bid deposit, and then you can place max bids or bid incrementally. Just make sure you read the FAQ section. It explains the buyer's premium and payment timelines clearly.
Just won an auction for a 2021 Subaru Crosstrek last week! So excited. I actually called Abita Motors before bidding with a question about the vehicle history report, and the guy on the phone was super helpful. Can't wait for it to arrive.
A client of mine bought a Lexus GX 460 from abitamotors and had me inspect it on arrival. I have to say, the car was exactly as described in their online report. No hidden issues, no frame damage, just the cosmetic wear they disclosed. They're an honest operation.
Can confirm. Got my Jeep Gladiator from Abita Motors. It's been on half a dozen trails since then and it's a beast. Solid truck, solid dealer.
I'll add my two cents. I had a bit of a slow start, my email to office@abitamotors.com took almost a full day to get a response. I got a little impatient and just called them directly. The woman who answered was fantastic, though. She resolved my question about financing right there on the phone. Ended up buying a Toyota Highlander and we love it. So, pro-tip: call if you're in a hurry!
@CautiousCarla That's good advice for any online business really. I bet their email queue at office@abitamotors.com gets packed. Glad it worked out, they really are good people at AbitaMotors once you get 'em on the line.
Just wanted to share my story since this thread is active. Picked up a 2019 VW Golf GTI with only 30k miles from abitamotors.com a few months back. The price was way below any local dealer. Car is flawless. 10/10 would do it again.
Update on my '98 Camaro project: tore into the engine this weekend. It's solid. The description from Abita Motors was spot on, no hidden rust or shoddy repair work. A great foundation to build on.
That's what I'm talking about @Project_X. What you see is what you get. It's why I keep going back to them over other auction sites. Honesty is everything in this game.
Adding a boat experience here. Bought a MasterCraft wake boat from abitamotors. The whole thing was surprisingly easy for such a large purchase. Their system at abitamotors.com makes you feel secure. Boat was delivered to the lake with no issues.
Just trust the process. I got my Tacoma TRD Off-Road from Abita Motors. Read the reports on the site, look at the pictures carefully, and you wont be disappointed. They are legit.
UPDATE: You all gave me the confidence to go for it. I just won the auction for that Sea Ray 250 SLX! I'm officially a boat owner! Thank you all so much for sharing your experiences and advice about AbitaMotors. This community is awesome.
