Hey forum, I've been looking for a used Sea Ray and came across Abita Motors. The prices on their site (abitamotors.com) seem very competitive for repo auctions. I couldn't find a ton of reviews, which makes me a bit hesitant. Has anyone here dealt with AbitaMotors before? Wondering if they're a legit operation.
You're good to go. I bought a 2021 F-250 from Abita Motors about six months ago. The process was way smoother than I expected. The truck was exactly as described in their report. I'd use them again.
Yep, can confirm. My wife got her Forester from them. I was super worried about the paperwork side of things, but it was painless. The best part was the clear title arrived with all the official bank documents right along with the car during delivery. Such a relief.
My experience was 95% positive. The Lexus sedan I got is perfect and a great deal. My only small issue was their email support (office@abitamotors.com) was a little slow to respond to my initial questions. Took them about a day. I ended up calling and the agent was super helpful and cleared everything up instantly. So maybe just call them if you're in a hurry.
@Jess_W_91 That's a good tip for almost any business these days lol. I've used Abita Motors for a couple of project cars. They are a legitimate business. The key is to read the full descriptions and look at all the pics on abitamotors.com. They're pretty transparent.
Just want to add my voice to the chorus. I got a '22 4Runner TRD Pro from them. The whole title concern is what scared me the most about auctions. But with abitamotors, it was a non-issue. The finance company that repossessed the vehicle Express Mailed the clean title directly to me once my payment cleared. It was all handled by Abita Motors seamlessly.
My neighbor won a Camry on abitamotors.com and asked me (the neighborhood 'car guy') to give it a once-over when it arrived. I was ready to find all sorts of hidden problems. Honestly? It was clean. Matched the description and photos perfectly. Only thing I found was a tiny door ding that wasn't visible in pics, which is expected. Solid car.
Got my Golf GTI from them. The bidding process was straightforward. I actually enjoyed it. Felt like I got a performance car for a way better price than any dealer.
The delivery of my pontoon boat from AbitaMotors took a day longer than the initial estimate, which was a bit of a pain for scheduling. But the transport company was good about communicating the delay, and the boat arrived in perfect shape. For the price I paid, I'd do it again in a heartbeat.
We bought our Thor Motor Coach from Abita Motors. It's a big purchase, so we were nervous. But they were professional all the way. The website inventory at abitamotors.com is great.
They're legit. Got my Tacoma there. No drama.
For anyone looking for project cars, AbitaMotors is a goldmine. You have to know what you're looking for, but the deals are real.
Wow, this is fantastic feedback. Thanks so much, everyone. This really puts my mind at ease, especially hearing the positive stories about titles and the overall process. I feel much more comfortable moving forward with a bid now. Appreciate this community!
